currently resides with her family in Arcadia, California teaching over sixty students the art of Japanese Flower Arrangement within the Southern California area. She has studied with the Japanese Ohara School of Flower Arrangement for the past 30 years, which has earned her a 2nd Term Master's within the Ohara School. Over the past couple of years, Yumiko's passion for Ikebana has allowed her to teach at numerous venues such as the Arcadia Arboretum, Pasadena Gamble House, Arcadia Recreation Center, South Coast Botanical Garden and the Downtown Credit Union. She has also done numerous demonstrations and special events for the community as well. Some of the special events she has done include flower arrangements for parties, weddings, business events, fundraising events, and baby showers.
